Avoid Audulterated and Contaminated Foods

STOP buying Adulterated, Contaminated Foods from the markets.
Try to buy only 100% organic foods.

Adulterated food is the food that is generally, impure, unsafe, or unwholesome. Food adulteration is the act of intentionally debasing the quality of food offered for sale either by the admixture or substitution of inferior substances or by the removal of some valuable ingredient. Products that are adulterated under these laws definitions cannot enter into commerce for human food use. Under U.S. law, using an ingredient not approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is one form of food adulteration.

Types of adulterants: Sand, marble chips, stones, mud, other filth, talc, chalk powder, water, mineral oil, and harmful color. Pesticide residues, droppings of rodents, larvae in foods. Arsenic from pesticides, lead from water, effluent from chemical industries, tin from cans.

CAUSES OF FOOD ADULTERATION:
The profit motive of traders: Done as a part of the business strategy.
Food insecurity: To increase the quantity of food production and sales.
Increased Urbanization: To make maximum profit from food items by fewer investments.

PENALTY is minimum imprisonment of 6 months that may extend up to 3 years and a minimum fine of Rs. 1000/-  To Rs. 2,00,000/-  Import, manufacture, storage, sale or distribution of any food article which is adulterated or any adulterant which is injurious to health is being used is punishable under Law.

Pre-caution:
When you buy vegetables or fruits, make a habit to wash them by soaking in lemon water or tamarind water or in baking soda water for 30 minutes before you cook or eat. If possible peel the upper layer of the vegetables and fruits to remove any chemicals or wax sprayed on the food.

Health Tips from Dr. Khadar Vali

No Rice, Wheat, Meat, Eggs, Milk, and Sugar? Then what to eat?? I hear this often from people.
Take Charge of your Health...Try this.
"The Alternative (Real) Food"

1. Avoid Polished Rice and Wheat including Organic.
Alternative: Go for Siridhanya (Millets) Foxtail, Little, Kodo, Barnyard and Brown Top Millets for optimal health.
Note: Soak Millets for 4 hrs before cooking and use one type of Millet continuous 2 days for effective results. Healthy people can add Finger Millet, Sorghum and Pearl Millets to the above list.
Caution: Women in post-pregnancy stage(Lactating Mothers) should not consume Foxtail Millet for a period of one year after delivery as per Dr. Khadar. Continue having rest of the Millets and post lactating period include Foxtail Millet as well.

2. Avoid RO Water(Acidic and TDS less than 20).
Alternative: Go for Tap Water Stored in Copper Vessel.
Note: Use a basic candle water filter to remove physical impurities and shift the filtered water into a copper vessel to remove chemical and biological impurities (or clay pot where the copper sheet is immersed). Store it for more than 8 hours and use it by the next day.

3. Avoid Refined Oils ( Adulterated Sunflower, Palm oil, and Canola).
Alternative: Go for Organic Cold Pressed Oils (Coconut, Sesame/Gingelly, Groundnut, Mustard and Safflower). Ensure oils are in Glass or Steel containers only and No to plastic containers. Prefer oils extracted from traditional methods(Gana or Ghani or Wooden Pressed) rather machine extracted.

4. Avoid White Sugar( Refined and Chemically Processed).
Alternative: Go for Palm Jaggery.

5. Avoid Chemically Cultivated (Fertilizers, Insecticide, and Pesticides) vegetables and fruits including seedless fruits and GMO.
Alternative: Go for Organically cultivated (Chemical Free) fruits and vegetables.
Note: If you are unable to afford or find organic then take a bowl full of tamarind water and keep the fruits and vegetables in it for 30 minutes and wash it with fresh water for use. Avoid seedless fruits although grown organically.

6. Avoid Plastic especially in storing liquids (Never Allow your kids to drink water/ milk in plastic containers, don't use plastic tiffin boxes).
Alternative: Go for Copper, Steel or Clay containers.

7. Avoid Jersey Cow Milk(A1).
Alternative: Go for Desi Cow Milk(A2)
Note: It is advised to have buttermilk, curd, butter or ghee from desi cow milk and not direct consumption of Milk.

8. Avoid coffee (3 poisons in one glass - Coffee + Milk +Sugar).
Alternative: Go for Coconut Milk or Kashaya/ Decoction. Tulasi (Holy Basil), Lemon Grass, Rosemary, Curry Leaves, Betel Leaves, Pongamia, Peepal, Bilva, Ginger, Turmeric, etc.. with Organic Jaggery or Palm Jaggery added as a sweetener.

9. Avoid Microwave ovens, Teflon(Toxic) coated non-stick cookware including Aluminium Pressure Cookers.
Alternative: Go for Iron Casting, Steel and Clay cookwares.

10. Avoid Processed Salt.
Alternative : Use Sea Salt, Rock Salt/ Himalayan Pink Salt/ Saindhava lavana.

11. Avoid Eggs and Meat.
Alternative: Go for Organically cultivated Mushrooms. If it's not Organic then Please follow the process explained in cleaning vegetables with tamarind water above.

Some Wonderful Healthy Tips

The food we eat has to be digested and thrown out of the body in 24 hours, else we will fall ill.

The water we drink gets in our body, has to be thrown out in 4 hours, else we might fall sick.

The air we breathe has to be thrown out in 1 minute, else may suffocate in ending life.

What about negative emotions hatred, anger, jealousy, insecurity, phobias ... we hold them in our body for days, months, and years.

If these negative emotions are not thrown out regularly, it props up into psycho-somatic diseases. The sufferings and pains will continue till you hold onto them. Drop all the negative emotions. Learn to Forgive and Forget! Smile and Stay happy at every moment.

Ayurvedic remedy for Knee problem

  1. Oil pulling with coconut or sesame oil for 5 minutes every day in the morning and evening.
  2. Boil Harsingar (Paarijat) leaves in water, after it cools down, drink it on empty stomach. If you don't find Harsingar leaves, buy organic Moringa powder available in grocery stores.
  3.  Take one teaspoon of Moringa powder, mix it in a glass of warm water.. take it on empty stomach.
  4. Divya Peedantaka Vati (tablets) take 1-2 tablets after meals, twice a day with water as per Patanjali Ayurved.
  5. Drink only copper water daily up to 3 months, then take a break for 15 days. Remember to AVOID completely plastic bottle water, RO water, and boiled water.
  6. Intake of sprouted fenugreek seeds is very beneficial in arthritis. 
  7. Intake good amount of Vitamin D and Vitamin C. Broccoli, Pineapple, Lemons, Vegan Proteins (Soaked Peanuts, Almonds, Chickpea, Pumpkin Seeds, Legumes).
  8.  Foxtail and Browntop millets are the best for all kind arthritis. Heals the knees, broken bones quickly. Note: Completely avoid milk, wheat, all kinds of rice, sugar, salt, all kinds of meats, eggs, seafood, alcohol, chocolates, coffee, and tea. 
  9.  Just by stopping SALT completely, within a month, 50% of knee problems/ pains will be solved.
  10. Do Pranayama (Deep Breathing & Exhaling), and Kapaalbhat daily, helps in reducing pains.

  12. Apply daily externally Patanjali Peedantak Oil or Peedantak Ointment onto the Knees, massage it gently on the knee caps pressing down for couple seconds, upwards, right to left, left to right and perpendicular.
  13.  Give Reiki to the knees with your both hands for 3 minutes in a day, and night.
  14. Apply earth's natural mud to the knees. Mud is very divine in nature good for healing.
  15.  When giving healing to the patient, be positive with a clean mind of divine intention to heal.
  16.  If water is taken while standing, it disturbs the balance of other body fluids. Ultimately it also affects the joint regions, knees and causes deficiency of required fluids in joints... So make a habit to sit down and drink the warm water sip by sip.

    Purify Water Naturally


    Some of the methods to purify water naturally at home:

    Boil the water, and let it cool down at room temperature.

    Store the water in a pure copper pot (tambe ka bartan).. this purifies removing many kinds of bacteria from water. copper cleanses everything !! that’s the power of keeping water in the copper pot. Place your copper water pot near to the place where you sleep. as per Ayurveda you also get good sleep, as well your whole body gets health benefits. You can also add 2-3 moringa (dried drumstick) seeds in the water pot for more purification. Note: Remember to clean your copper pot every alternate day with lemon and salt.

    Take a white cotton cloth.. add fenugreek seeds, peppercorns, cumin seeds, Bengal grams.. make it a bag and put this bag in the copper water pot for an hour, this purifies the water further.

    You can also add homam the (Agni Hotra) ash (vibhuti) into the water, this ash should be made out of (organic dried cow dung + ghee + rice)  from the offerings given to sun during sunrise and sunset prayers done with Vedic chantings. Ash purifies the water within hours.

    Put some Tulsi leaves, Cilantro leaves, or Lemons, and Mint leaves in water pots or in the water mugs.

    Play vedic beej mantras at home during the day time..the mantras generates positive vibrations which has the healing power which purifies the water and makes the water more alkaline and divine like temple theerdham!!

    In Regular commercial water filters .. the water is mostly purified using the following materials kept in layers .. charcoal, sea-sand, small pebbles/ stones, etc.. This natural method is very effective and used in many apartments, buildings, homes to purify their water tanks collected from well water, pond water, rainwater, gov tap water or  river water ...

    Use the water measuring device to check the alkaline quality (ph scale) of your water, BEFORE and AFTER, by implementing the above purification methods. Check the difference.

    Beautiful Thought by Lord Buddha


    Once Buddha was traveling with a few of his followers. While they were passing a lake, Buddha told one of his disciples, "I am thirsty. Do get me some water from the lake."

    The disciple walked up to the lake. At that moment, a bullock cart started crossing through the lake. As a result, the water became very muddy and turbid. The disciple thought, "How can I give this muddy water to Buddha to drink?"

    So he came back and told Buddha, "The water in there is very muddy. I don't think it is fit to drink." After about half an hour, again Buddha asked the same disciple to go back to the lake .

    The disciple went back, and found that the water was still muddy. He returned and informed Buddha about the same.

    After sometime, again Buddha asked the same disciple to go back. This time, the disciple found the mud had settled down, and the water was clean and clear. So he collected some water in a pot and brought it to Buddha.

    Buddha looked at the water, and then he looked up at the disciple and said," See what you did to make the water clean. You let it be, and the mud settled down on its own -- and you have clear water.

    Your mind is like that too ! When it is disturbed, just let it be. Give it a little time. It will settle down on its own. You don't have to put in any effort to calm it down. It will happen. It is effortless."

    Having 'Peace of Mind' is not a strenuous job; it is an effortless process!

    How to Build Strong Immunity

    A healthy holistic lifestyle is a MUST to support strong immunity includes regular exercise, yoga, reducing stress, organic diet, and good hygiene. Make yoga part of your daily practice to boost your immune system. For stronger health, detoxify your body, emotions, mind, and soul naturally with the tools given by nature. 100% Detoxification happens: 3% By cleansing the colon pipes, 7% By Urination, 20% By body Sweating and 70% By Deep Breathing (Doing Pranayama, and Kapalabhati).

The dont's list of sugary foods, microwave foods, re-use of overly heated oils, alcohol, cold beverages, preservatives, etc. can badly weaken your immune system.     Do's

    1. Do Yoga, Pranayama (Deep Breathing, and Kapalabhati), light exercises. 
    2. Wake up in nector time by 4 AM, the fresh air in the mornings has more life force energy, do yoga, take deep breaths, do all your morning rituals.. chant Shree Rudram, DSS, Lalitha Sahasranamam, or Hanuman Chilasa... plan your day ahead which helps you focus better in the day, and reduces stress. 
    3. Drink good amount of filtered warm water (sip by sip) in the mornings, can mix with Lemon + Honey to boost your immune system.
    4. Take time for morning jog & evening walks .. try to sweat twice a day, sweating helps to remove toxins from body thru skin pores.
    5. Stay positive, be happy at every moment. Always visualize & say to yourself repeatedly at subconscious mind that "I AM VERY STRONG,  MY HEALTH IS 100% PERFECT" ... self-belief system (placebo) is essential, more powerful in curing any disease.
    6. Do meditation, pray, help others, listen to music, sing, dance, and have fun laugh with families and friends.. all these activities help in reducing stress, anxiety, and tensions.
    7. Reiki and Agnihotra are the two promising nature given divine tools for healing/curing any health issues completely, really works in full faith.
    8. Eat organic raw plant food, freshly prepared lightly cooked food, consume it within couple hour before it starts decaying.

    10. Always eat food half to your tummy, never overload.. leave some space inside your stomach for better digestion.

    13. Eat nuts (Almonds, Pumpkin Seeds, Flax Seeds, Sunflower, Walnuts, Cashews) and  Dry fruits (Dates, Raisins, Figs, Apricot, Goji, Cranberry..)
    14. Forgiveness is the good medicine, practice every day to forgive others.. this helps you build your immune strong, and keeps the stress away.
    15. Detoxify your body once a week being on fasting the whole day, be on liquids water, raw fruits, nuts and veggies (carrots, cucumber..) BUT on this fasting day DO NOT eat any cooked or processed food.
    16. In the early mornings on empty stomach, drink couple glasses of warm water with Turmeric mixed with Tulasi/Basil, or Neem Leaves 0r Amla powder or Giloy.
    17. Take enough rest, have sound sleep in nights atleast 6 to 7 hours.. (try to sleep early by 9:30 pm and wake up early mornings by 4 am, take COLD shower).
    18. Soak gooseberry (Amla) in honey with some broken black or green (raw) pepper over the night and have 3 spoons a day.. remember take them on empty stomach for best results.

    20. Most importantly finish your dinner by 7 pm on all days.
    21. Eat sprouts to boost your immune system, add them into your daily meal.

    Protein Food...Building Body Muscles

    Every day Women need 46 grams of protein, and Men need 56 grams of protein.

    Proteins are one of the most important nutrients required for healthy living.  They are one of the building blocks of the body tissue that helps in weight management. Protein is also the building block for healthy hair growth. Make sure you are getting enough amount of protein every day.     Pumpkin/Nuts-Fruit Shake:
    This shake will power you through the hardest and longest of days.

     Ingredients:
     1 cup frozen wild blueberries
     2 tablespoons almond butter
     2 tablespoons pumpkin seeds
     2 tablespoons chia seeds
     2 tablespoons hemp seeds
     4 walnuts
     3 Brazil nuts
     1 large ripen banana
     1 leaf of kale
     1 tablespoon extra- virgin coconut oil
     1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk
     1 cup of water
    Combine all of the ingredients in a blender. Blend on high speed until smooth, about two minutes. If the shake is too thick, add little water. Serve chilled.

    Peanut-Fruit Smoothie:
     Take a handful of peanuts (soaked overnight in water).
     Put them in the blender.
     Add little water.
     Add a ripen banana or any fruit you want.
     Churn till it becomes like porridge.
     Add more water if you want it like a milkshake.
     One large glass of peanut banana milkshake can easily keep you going for a few hours. It's a good, easy-to-prepare breakfast. You can have it ready in three minutes and finish it off in the next two minutes.
