Clean India Mission (Sanitation)

Swachh Bharat Abhiyan (Campaign Clean India) is a national level campaign by the Government of India covering 4041 statutory towns to clean the streets, roads and infrastructure of the country.

          http://mygov.in/

This campaign was officially launched on 2 October 2014 at Rajghat, New Delhi, where Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself wielded broom and cleaned a road. The campaign is India's biggest ever cleanliness drive and 3 million government employees and schools and colleges students of India participated in this event.

Mr Modi also invited nine people to join the cleanliness drive and requested each of them to draw nine more into the initiative to take it viral. Among them, cricketer Sachin Tendulkar, Congressman Shashi Tharoor and actors Kamal Haasan, Priyanka Chopra and Salman Khan. (Read more...) Actor Aamir Khan was among those who joined the PM for the event.

He emphasised that the initiative was "beyond politics" and inspired by patriotism. He acknowledged the efforts of previous governments to make India clean and said cleanliness was not the work of a few; all citizens must do their bit to make it a success. "This is not about Modi... Modi is only one of its 1.2 billion people... This is a people's task," he said.

The secret behind why Japanese people never litter:
On Saturday, June 14, the Japanese shocked the world when spectators voluntarily cleaned up an entire stadium after their team lost in a World Cup soccer match against Argentina. Regardless of
who littered, the Japanese spectators picked up cans, tissues, even pieces of confetti and deposited the trash in the dustbins on their way out. This astonishing act wasn't some group act of protest or a
statement of some kind. The Japanese were just cleaning up after themselves, which, apparently, comes naturally to them and is a big part of their culture. The entire japan country people practices "cleanliness" is inspiring many many other countries.

Japanese Spectators cleaning the stadium after
their team lost in a world cup soccer match!

This is how the dirt starts..
Just make sure U aren't the one to start it.
Be the one to end it.

Reading Nutrition Labels

1. Check the serving size. This is what the entire label is based on. This tells you how much everything equals. It can range from five pieces or the whole package. This also explains how many servings are in the product. It's an easy gage to base the rest of the information.

2. See the calories. Now that you know what counts as serving, you can see how many calories a serving equals. If you are trying to cut back on fat, note of how many calories come from fat.

3. Keep an eye out. Try to limit the amount of total fat, sugar, cholesterol and sodium.

4. Percentage per serving. Strive to have low daily values of fat, cholesterol and sodium. Aim for higher daily values of dietary fiber and vitamins. 5% is daily value is low. 20% or more is high.

5. Package claims. Fat free means there are less than 0.5 grams of fat per serving. Low fat means, there are 3 grams of fat or less per serving. Low saturated fat is 1 gram of fat or less per serving.

6. Lean and light. Lean equals less than 10 grams of fat, 4 grams of saturated fat and 95 milligrams of cholesterol per serving. A light product has 1/3 less calories or no more that 1/2 the sodium of a regular product.

7. Sodium free, low sodium and very low sodium. Sodium free equals less than 5 milligrams of sodium per serving. Low sodium has less than 140 milligrams of sodium per serving. Very low sodium has less than 35 milligrams of sodium per serving.

8. Cholesterol free and low cholesterol. Cholesterol free has less than 2 milligrams of cholesterol or 2 grams or less of saturated fat per serving. Low cholesterol has less than 20 milligrams of cholesterol per serving.

9. Good Source. This indicates that a serving contains 10% to 19% of the daily value of a nutrient.

TOXIC FOOD INGREDIENTS TO AVOID : The following list contains ingredients that should be unacceptable in food products as they may lead to negative health effects:

1.Hydrogenated oil (often labeled as trans fat): It's made through a process that turns free-flowing oil into a lard-like solid at room temperature. The food industry uses it because it's inexpensive and increases shelf life of products, so companies can increase their profits. Eating this trans fat increases the bad cholesterol (LDL) in your body and is bad for your heart.

2.Enriched flour: All the grain’s nutrients are destroyed in the refining process. Companies add a little bit of the lost nutrients back and label it “enriched” so it seems nutritious. Fewer nutrients mean you'll be feeling hungry soon after, so choose foods made with whole grains instead.

3.High-fructose corn syrup: Your body processes this differently than good old-fashioned cane sugar. It contains more fructose than sugar and converts to fat more easily, which can cause weight gain.
Are you ready to learn the rest? Then read more

4.Refined sugar: When you put sugar into your system, you experience a sugar high that rapidly raises your blood-sugar levels. So two hours later, you crash, feeling tired and empty. Sugar that is naturally combined with fat or fiber sources, like in fresh fruits, will absorb into your body much slower, helping you avoid the roller-coaster sugar ride.

5.Saturated fats: These are found mostly in animal products such as butter, cream, hot dogs, beef, and skin from chicken. They increase your cholesterol levels and clog your precious arteries, which causes cardiovascular disease.

About Alcohol

When a person drinks an alcoholic beverage, about 20% of the alcohol is absorbed in the stomach, with the remaining 80% being absorbed in the small intestine. The alcohol then enters into the bloodstream and circulates throughout the body. As alcohol enters the nerve cells within the brain, it interferes with communication between the nerve cells and all other cells. The excitatory nerve pathways are suppressed, while the inhibitory pathways are stimulated. This has the effect of causing sluggishness of the body, which is characteristic of the behavior of someone who is under the influence of alcohol.

SAY NO TO ALCOHOL!
Depending on the level of alcohol within the bloodstream, certain centers of the brain are affected more than others. The first center to be affected is the cerebral cortex, which is why rational thinking tends to become blurred. As the alcohol level rises, it begins to affect the limbic system, involving our emotions and autonomic nervous system. The next center in the brain to be affected is the cerebellum, which among other things, affects our spatial orientation. This is why intoxicated people have difficulty walking in a straight line. And, if the alcohol level continues to increase, the next center to be impacted is the hypothalamus and pituitary gland, which together control the entire endocrine system of the body. And finally, excessive alcohol in the bloodstream reaches the medulla (brain stem), acting as a depressant on the entire central nervous system.

Regular consumption of alcohol damages BRAIN, MEMORY, LIVER, LUNGS, HEART, THROAT, MOUTH, NERVES, SKIN, STOMACH, SEXUAL ORGANS, MUSCLES AND BONES.

Some of the signs and symptoms of a malfunctioning liver include:
Jaundice -- yellowing of the skin and eyes
Fatigue and weakness
Loss of appetite, nausea
Red spider-like blood vessels visible just under the skin
Swelling of extremities, such as hands, legs, feet from fluid build-up
Swelling of the belly.

*Alcohol damages liver, as the liver gets damage increases other diseases to develop.

Three ways for healthful life and truly feel good:
It will involve working on yourself—however, this investment will pay off greatly in the long run. Here are three methods, tested throughout three millenniums:

1.   Start monitoring your thoughts. Spend five minutes every evening writing down how you felt that day. Remember the situations you encountered and emotions you felt. What negative character traits does that uncover? What do you plan to do tomorrow to start improving yourself and to change those particular character traits? It is very important to write everything down.

2.   Try to think more about things that make you happy. This is the miracle of positive thinking. When you concentrate on the things that you like, it's as if you move to a different frequency of vibrations, and the body starts to heal itself. Even better, there will be a greater number of good things in your life, because everything you think about becomes reality, including the problems that bother you. Concentrate on things you enjoy and watch how everything begins to change.

3.   Try out meditation. During meditation, the body and mind rest and heal themselves. You can read more about meditation in the article "How To Own A New Ferrari And Be As Smart As Einstein, Just By Calmly Sitting On Your Couch".

Illness is simply our body's signal about an incorrect (or, rather, non-beneficial) lifestyle. Firstly it manifests as anxiety, fear, and negative thoughts. Only then, if no effort is made to work on oneself, the body sends a more powerful signal to get your attention and make you think about what you are doing wrong, in the form of physical symptoms.

Leave only the useful and meaningful things in your life. Because everything that is useful to you is always useful to others.

HAPPINESS

*Happiness can be divided into 3 categories:*
*1. Physical happiness
*2. Mental happiness
*3. Spiritual happiness

These are brief summary of steps to take for achieving these in our lives:

*For Physical Happiness:*
a. Regular and proper *DIET*.
b. Regular and proper *REST*.
c. Regular and proper *YOGA and EXERCISE*.

*For Mental Happiness:*
a. Minimize *Expectations*.
b. Minimize *Ego & Pride*.
c. Minimize *Negative Thoughts*.

*For Spiritual Happiness:*
a. Recognize your *SOUL* as a separate entity from the body.
b. Do not live in the *PAST*.
Free yourself of past memories and experiences.
Do not worry about the *FUTURE*.
   But, plan for IT.
Free yourself in *PRESENT* of any attachments and hatred *Raag Dvesh*.
c. Help all living beings without any expectations.
d. Meditate regularly and surrender to the Supreme Soul.

*BE A HAPPY SOUL, ENJOY EVERY MOMENT*

*ShivYog daily practices "Saadhana/Dyan for self-realization, Seva to the nation, and Sankeertan for ascension to higher dimension".

*Remember: when you are alone in Dyaan (deep meditation) forget every other thing every other person, just focus on SELF ONLY SELF, but when you are with others, forget self, focus on helping and loving others selflessly.

*Best charity or a leader can do is to arrange free meals to the poor, educate to walk in right direction, teach humanity, teach patriotism, teach them to fight for the country to protect dharma, teach to love the nature, plant trees, keep the surroundings clean, green and hygiene. Be kind to birds and animals, live and let live, stay positive and cool minded.

*No matter how successful the person might be, he or she should not shy away from their identity, culture, heritage, and religion. Be proud to say who you are... the world appreciates for being truth !

Heartfulness

Meditation has to be a daily affair.
We sleep every day,
we feel stressed every day,
so why not meditate every day?
That is the pill.
We take multivitamin tablets
when we have some deficiency.
Meditation is a multi-body tablet;
it is not just for your physical body,
but for your subtler bodies also.
