Turmeric Benefits



Turmeric is a very common herb and referred as "Queen of Spices" which people use it for their cooking. Why learning to control your anger is important!


You might think that venting your anger is healthy, that the people around you are too sensitive, that your anger is justified, or that you need to show your fury to get respect. But the truth is that anger is much more likely to damage your relationships, impair your judgment, get in the way of success, and have a negative impact on the way people see you.

Think Wisely!
Out-of-control anger hurts your physical health: Constantly operating at high levels of stress and tension is bad for your health. Chronic anger makes you more susceptible to heart disease, diabetes, high cholesterol levels, a weakened immune system, insomnia, and high blood pressure.

Out-of-control anger hurts your mental health: Chronic anger consumes huge amounts of mental energy and clouds your thinking, making it harder to concentrate, see the bigger picture, and enjoy life. It can also lead to stress, depression, and other mental health problems.

Out-of-control anger hurts your career: Constructive criticism, creative differences, and smart debate can be healthy. Identify the negative thought patterns that trigger your temper:

You may think that external things—the insensitive actions of other people, for example, or frustrating situations—are what cause your anger. But anger problems have less to do with what happens to you than how you interpret and think about what happened.

Common negative thinking patterns that trigger and fuel anger include: Overgeneralizing. For example, “You always interrupt me. You NEVER consider my needs. EVERYONE disrespects me. I NEVER get the credit I deserve.”  Obsessing on “shoulds” and “musts.” Having a rigid view of the way things should or must be and getting angry when reality doesn’t line up with this vision.

Mind reading and jumping to conclusions: Assuming you “know” what someone else is thinking or feeling—that he or she intentionally upset you, ignored your wishes, or disrespected you. 

Collecting straws: Looking for things to get upset about, usually while overlooking or blowing past anything positive. Letting these small irritations build and build until you reach the “final straw” and explode, often over something relatively minor.

Blaming: When anything bad happens or something goes wrong, it’s always someone else’s fault. You blame others for the things that happen to you rather than taking responsibility for your own life.
Avoid people, places, and situations that bring out your worst Stressful events don’t excuse anger, but understanding how these events affect you can help you take control of your environment and avoid unnecessary aggravation. Look at your regular routine and try to identify activities, times of day, people, places, or situations that trigger irritable or angry feelings. Maybe you get into a fight every time you go out for drinks with a certain group of friends. Or maybe the traffic on your daily commute drives you crazy. Then think about ways to avoid these triggers or view the situation differently so it doesn’t make your blood boil.

Walk away immediately when you realize you are about to allow your anger to turn to rage or becoming violent.

5. Practice relaxation skills - Practice deep-breathing exercises, imagine a relaxing scene, or repeat a calming word or phrase, such as, "Take it easy." You might also listen to music, write in a journal or do a few yoga poses — whatever it takes to encourage relaxation.

6. Get creative - Writing, making music, dancing or painting can release tension and reduce feelings of anger.

7. Get enough sleep at night - Getting adequate sleep can improve your mood and lessen your anger.

8. Practice positive self-talk - Give a moment to yourself to calm down, discuss the situation with yourself in a positive and relieving terms.

9. Act the Opposite - “One of the quickest ways to change a painful feeling is to act the opposite. Smile instead of frown. Speak softly rather than loudly. Relax instead of tighten. Disengage rather than attack. Empathize rather than judge”

10.  Isolate yourself : Whenever you feel angry or feel that irritating impulse just separate yourself from your family members and others. Just create some distance. The best thing you can do is to lock yourself in a room for a while and let the steam flow out. You can also punch the pillows if you want, just let it out. It is because you don't want to say things which hurt them and for which you regret later on.

11. Deep Breathing : Whenever you feel angry and distressed practice deep breathing exercises. Just inhale deeply, hold your breath for a while ( count upto 10 if you can) and exhale. It really works. Chant some holy verse if you can or visualize a beautiful memory or image or a holy symbol while you do so. I visualize OM symbol.

12. Eat or drink something : This is also a very good technique. If you feel angry eat something, preferably something sweet or drink a glass of fruit juice or water. An empty stomach can sometimes act as a catalyst in aggravating the emotional outburst. So fill it in.

13. Listen to hard rock songs : Sometimes listening to hard rock songs for a while helps in releasing anger.

  • Burger with Fries: The overcooked fat and preservatives found in burgers combine with the sugar in the starchy potato fries creating cytokines. Cytokines kill cells, speed up aging and cause long-term metabolic syndrome. Choose a less fatty burger with a pickle or a salad as aside.
  • Melons and Milk: Melons digest quickly while milk takes a while, therefore, this combination can lead to indigestion. Also, melons have a high water and sugar content so it's better to have it on an empty stomach and alone.
  • Tomatoes with Copper is very reactive-- and one that leeches metal into acidic foods. It isn't a good idea to cook or store acidic foods such as tomatoes in copper pans or containers because the metal that seeps into the food can be toxic. This can cause nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea if consumed in sufficient quantity.
  • Okra (Bhendi) with bitter gourd or with radish is unhealthy.

*BE CAUTIOUS OF CALCIUM CARBIDE, Bleach, Wax & other harmful chemicals are being injected and sprayed onto the vegetables, milk, ghee, oils, pulses, and fruits to shine and ripen faster growth.. How do we stop making cancer?
It is easily understood but it is a little more difficult to actually do because stop-making cancer involves changing our lifestyles radically. For some, this is easily done while for others it is the most difficult thing they have ever done.  But when ''cancer'' knocks at your door, you soon realize that it is, actually God's divine tap on your shoulder suggesting that you change the path you are on.  It is an offer most of us can't refuse.

Here is the formula to stop making cancer:

1) Eat according to your biological needs rather than you appetites.  Keep in mind that we are primates, not canines or felines or bovine or porcine.  Consider what gorillas eat and ask yourself if they are strong and healthy.  Remember that the light from the sun is destroyed with fire, radiation and microwaves.  Also, freezing destroys many nutrients.  Organic, ripe, fresh and unaltered are the qualities of the food that are most compatible with health.
1a) Eat vitamin E foods (Sunflower seeds, Almonds, Spinach, Kale, Avocado, Peanuts), Pumpkin Seeds, Turmeric, Tomato's, Parsley, Apples, Berries, Red Grapes, Lemons, and Drink Green Tea Daily.. all these food has angiogenesis substances which prevents and fights for cancer.
2) Sleep early and arise early.
3) Begin your day with meditation and/or prayer and include Tai Chi or Ji Gong or Yoga.
4) Read about health and healing of the body and mind and spirit… do not read about disease (at least 30 minutes).
5) Exercise aerobically for at least 20 minutes (45 eventually) and include some resistance exercises for muscle tone and strength.
6) Eat only after exercising but remember, you do not have to eat in the morning and the longer period of time between meals, the healthier you become.
7) Clean your colon.  Remember that the colon is about 1.5 to 2 meters or around 5 feet in length so consider how much waste you are eliminating each day.  If it is not around 5 feet, then you should do an enema or get a colonic. Enema daily or colonic 2 to 3 times per week, if possible or a combination of the two. One colonic and 3 enemas per week is an example.
8) Coffee retention enemas are excellent ways to cleanse your liver and wheat grass juice or other fresh juice retention enemas are another way to get nutrients into your body.
9) Take a rest a noon, meditate and/or pray, take your shoes off and feel the earth with your bare feet and allow the sun to warm your skin, if possible for around 30 minutes depending where you are living.
10) Eat your evening meal at least 3 hours before going to bed.  It is very important for healing to go to sleep with an empty stomach and intestines.
11) Meditate and/or pray before eating your evening meal.
12) Be careful not to lie.  Being dishonest produces harmful psycho-emotional and spiritual effects.
13) Laugh … belly laugh, if possible a few times a day.
14) Be kind … if angry, go sit and breathe deeply or, if necessary go somewhere and scream and bang a stick and then go breathe deeply and slowly and meditate for 5 minutes.
15) Spend the last 30 minutes before going to bed by reading and/or praying or meditating.
16) Sleep with your head east to west or south to north, if possible.
17) Insure that the room you sleep in is quiet, dark and has no electronic equipment in it.

Tea from Indian plant can fight breast cancer:
Scientists have discovered that extracts from a plant found in arid regions of India and Pakistan can kill cancerous cells and produces no harmful side effects associated with chemotherapy. Tea from the plant known as Virgin's mantle is already drunk by women in rural Pakistan who have breast cancer. About Alcohol:
When a person drinks an alcoholic beverage, about 20% of the alcohol is absorbed in the stomach, with the remaining 80% being absorbed in the small intestine. The alcohol then enters into the bloodstream and circulates throughout the body. As alcohol enters the nerve cells within the brain, it interferes with communication between the nerve cells and all other cells. The excitatory nerve pathways are suppressed, while the inhibitory pathways are stimulated. This has the effect of causing sluggishness of the body, which is characteristic of the behavior of someone who is under the influence of alcohol.

 Depending on the level of alcohol within the bloodstream, certain centers of the brain are affected more than others. The first center to be affected is the cerebral cortex, which is why rational thinking tends to become blurred. As the alcohol level rises, it begins to affect the limbic system, involving our emotions and autonomic nervous system. The next center in the brain to be affected is the cerebellum, which among other things, affects our spatial orientation. This is why intoxicated people have difficulty walking in a straight line. And, if the alcohol level continues to increase, the next center to be impacted is the hypothalamus and pituitary gland, which together control the entire endocrine system of the body. And finally, excessive alcohol in the bloodstream reaches the medulla (brain stem), acting as a depressant on the entire central nervous system.

High Blood Pressure Symptoms

Tips To Help You Control Your High Blood Pressure:

1. Make sure your blood pressure is under 140/90 mm Hg. If your systolic pressure (the top number) is over 140, ask your doctor what you can do to lower it.

2. Take your high blood pressure medicine, if prescribed, every day. If you have questions, talk to your doctor.

3. Aim for a healthy weight. If you are overweight or obese, carrying this extra weight increases your risk of high blood pressure. One way to determine if you need to lose weight is to find out your body mass index (BMI). If your BMI is above the healthy range (i.e., 25 or greater), or if your waist measurement is greater than 35 inches (women) or 40 inches (men) you probably have excess abdominal weight and you may benefit from weight loss especially if you have other risk factors. Talk to your doctor to see if you are at increased risk for high blood pressure and need to lose weight.

4. Increase your physical activity. Do at least 30 minutes of moderate activity, such as walking, most days of the week. You can do 30 minutes in three 10-minute segments.

5. Choose foods low in salt and sodium. Most Americans should consume no more than 2.4 grams (2,400 milligrams) of sodium a day. That equals 6 grams, about one teaspoon of table salt a day. For someone with high blood pressure, the doctor may advise less.  AVOID completely taking refined white ocean salt. Try to take only Himalaya/Rocky/Sendhu/Kala Namak natural salt.

6. Read nutrition labels. Almost all packaged foods contain sodium. Every time you prepare or eat a packaged food, know how much sodium is in one serving.

7. Keep a sodium diary. You may be surprised at how much sodium you consume each day and the diary will help you decide which foods to decrease or eliminate. (*As per survey High sodium diet causes more than 1.6 million deaths every year). Go easy on the cheese.

8. Use spices and herbs instead of salt to season the food you prepare at home.

Research says, Celery and Olive Oil are good for lowering the High BP. Olive oil has been shown to lower blood pressure, and Celery contains a chemical that lowers pressure too.

 9. Eat clean and organic Fruits banana, apples, watermelon, oranges; Vegetables like carrots, beetroot, spinach, avocado, celery; Sunflower seeds, quinoa, oats (gluten free) and low-fat dairy foods. *Greek Yogurt is rich in Protein also lowers High Blood Pressure.

10. If you consume alcohol at all, consume moderate amount or restrict completely.


11. Sleep! If you don't want to lose sleep over high blood pressure, then get at least 6-7 hours of sleep every night. Studies have found that the fewer hours of sleep you get, the higher your blood pressure is.

12. Stressful situations pump up the blood pressure so keep calm, or do some fun activities listen to music, go out for walk, meditate, yoga etc..

A Nice story with a good moral

 A kindergarten teacher decided to let her class play a game.

The teacher told each child in the class to bring along a plastic bag containing a few potatoes.

Each potato will be given a name of a person that the child hates, So the number of potatoes that a child will put in his/her plastic bag will depend on the number of people he/she hates.

So when the day came, each child brought some potatoes with the name of the people he/she hated. Some had 2 potatoes; some 3 while some up to 5 potatoes. The teacher then told the children to carry with them the potatoes in the plastic bag wherever they go (even to the toilet) for 1 week.

Days after days passed by, and the children started to complain due to the unpleasant smell let out by the rotten potatoes. Besides, those having 5 potatoes also had to carry heavier bags. After 1 week, the children were relieved because the game had finally ended...

 The teacher asked: "How did you feel while carrying the potatoes with you for 1 week?". The children let out their frustrations and started complaining of the trouble that they had to go through having to carry the heavy and smelly potatoes wherever they go.

Then the teacher told them the hidden meaning behind the game. The teacher said: "This is exactly the situation when you carry your hatred for somebody inside your heart. The stench of hatred will contaminate your heart and you will carry it with you wherever you go. If you cannot tolerate the smell of rotten potatoes for just 1 week, can you imagine what is it like to have the stench of hatred in your heart for your lifetime???"

Moral of the story:
Throw away any hatred for anyone from your heart so that you will not carry sins for a lifetime.
Forgiving others is the best attitude to take!

intestines. The liver also makes proteins important for blood clotting and other functions.

BAD to the LIVER:
  1. Intake of high sodium can cause bad to liver.. like Salty foods, Salty Potato chips, Canned foods, Meats (red meat like beef, sheep, and pork), or any animal-based products like milk, cheese. Note: Instead of animal products, take plant-based food.
  2. Intake of Sugary Foods like candies, ice creams, cakes, cookies, sweets, sugary drinks are BAD to the liver.
  3. Intake of Alcohol drinking beer, wine or champagne as well as any form of liquor. Alcohol damages the liver, nerve, and brain. It leads to cancer in the mouth, throat and food pipe.
  4. Intake of Junk food like deep-fries, carbonated beverages, sodas, coffee, oily and processed food.
  5. Sleeping too late and waking up too late are some of the main causes for the bad liver.
  6. Not urinating in the morning.
  7. Too much eating.
  8. Skipping breakfast.
